Book Club

At a recent family gathering we discussed doing a book club. We know that all of us are spread out across the west and cannot meet in one location to talk books. I have put a yahoo group together to be able to have a one stop source for books we are reading, chat times and places, and any other info we want to share. I sent out an invite to those I thought would be interested. If you did not receive one I apologize for not thinking to send it out to you but if you are interested in joining there is a sign up link to the right of the page. We aren't the biggest brains in the world (at least I am not) so don't expect the books to be ultra-literary in nature. Expect more fiction that is entertaining. However, we will sneak in the occasional brainy book or spiritual book to make sure we are human still.

Thanksgiving

While there will be many blogs that seriously document thanks, I will go with my personality and go with the below. However, I do want to let everyone know that I am thankful for my family, health, America, the gospel, and extended family (order not necessarily in top to bottom etc.)

Thanks---
--I am thankful Michael Vick is in jail. This is only because there should be so many more NFLers in the Pokey and it's nice that a deserved occupant is there. Playmakers...remember remember.

--I am thankful I haven't watched biggest loser this year...my life is just fine without it.

--I am thankful the Clippers still stink and the Lakers are doing well

--I am thankful grateful for the daily delight and sarcasm of my favorite radio host Steve Czaban (foxsports radio and www.czabe.com)

--I am thankful for more delight and sarcastic comedy of the Office, Earl, and 30 Rock
--I am thankful for ABC bringing Scrubs to me...curse you NBC (evil shout inserted here)

--I am thankful I didn't read 'twilight' before the movie so I didn't want to stand in line with a bunch of 13 year old girls screaming and fawning...almost makes me not want to read the book but don't worry I still will.

--I am thankful I did not end up completley tanking in Fantasy Football (as of today I make the "playoffs")

--I am thankful I am such a nerd - makes life a bit more fun

My Part

So although I have been doing things to help on the grassroots level to promote a Yes vote on Proposition 8, the broadcast last night pushed me to use the blog as another help. I know that most that even look here are family and they feel the same way I do but, I want to let all know I support traditional marriage and that I want that being taught to my children. I may not always be the best person to answer all the questions so I will include links that should help. If you disagree this isn't meant to offend but rather to show my opinion and support for what I believe. Thanks for your understanding. If you have questions let me know and I will share how I feel.

Voting - I know that there is a lot of apathy about voting this year because the candidates we have are less than stellar. This may tempt people to avoid voting but I urge all---Vote! The most important things to vote on are propositions, state assemblymen, senators, congressmen etc. If you feel the need to avoid a presidential vote resist and vote for all other things. VOTE!

If you aren't registered to vote register before October 20, 2008 (those in california) If you are outside california check the link to see when your deadline is. All can use the link to register. http://www.justvote.org

Tech Obsession

I try to resist but like "Syler" from Heroes, I have "the Hunger". If you don't watch Heroes, get season 1 on DVD then Season 2 (because we all know watching 1 first then 2 is the way to go... haha) and enjoy this Geeky superhero movie (Michelle's opinion doesn't count on this issue). Anyway, the hunger or feeling of getting new tech toys.

I have lately been really wanting an X-Box 360 and with the Rat Story it made the itch go more. But, in conference it was reiterated for the 9,000th time to be financially smart. So buying an xbox 360 for catching a mouse is not what most of the sane world would consider smart. So, with that and, more importantly, Michelle saying that we should wait till Christmas sales and do a Christmas gift I will resist of spending foolishly...for now (see Syler from Heroes).

Speaking of Heroes here is my TV wasting time log for 2008 (The below is from last year and not a lot has changed. Shows in italics are forgotten from last year or new to this year:

Not like it matters

So it's been months since I wrote here so apparently I haven't had much to say. Since it is a sports blog I will update what has been a pretty cool couple of months.

The end of July through mid august brought me to 5 dodger games that were a blast to attend. Amazing that now they are 3 1/2 games up on the DBacks in the NL West. I am hoping they have found a consistent level to play at that will lead to them winning series and continuing on to a NL West championship, like I predicted. The coming together took a long time to materialize and the additions of Blake and Manny were needed.

Fantasy Football has started and the Nerdery in me is bubbling. Although when one loses by .2 points enthusiasm can wane. I do take solace in the fact that I cannot find the gumption to play fantasy baseball or basketball even though I think it would be cool.

By the way, the NFL is so interesting. Does anyone remember that the NFL forced ESPN to cancel playmakers because it was unrealistic? Oh yeah? Let's take a look at the headlines that continue to show drug cases, thug cases, and head cases. I just think it's funny that the NBA has the "thug" factor that turns people off when the nfl has just as much and, in my opinion, way more thuggery than the nba.

July

Well, I tried the other night to post the 25 min. video that I did for the Little League Blue Jays but, it would not load. I tried to follow all restrictions but it didn't work. I know, I shouldn't have expected it but I tried. Let me just tell you...It's fantastic! LOL. If anyone has a medium that I can post the video let me know. YouTube has to be under 10 min. and the blog video would load. What do you think?

Totally Different Subject
I just read in the Ensign that blogs are a good medium to share the gospel. Now this sarcastic lame blog may not be the best place but, I find it interesting, nice, and kind of exciting that the Church is encouraging us to 1. know 2. then post on blog, response to bad info in newspapers, and sending video from the church news site http://newsroom.lds.org/. The church is even on YouTube http://www.youtube.com/LDSPublicAffairs. Anyway, I know a lot of you have done a lot using the web and that is great! It makes me feel better to have my post on President Hinkley and prophets. I need to do more feelings on truth and less sarcasm. We'll see if I can do it.

Lakers in 5!

I know it isn't a bold prediction as many "experts" are saying similar things but that's the prediction. Let me be so bold as to guess er... predict the scores.
Results
Lakers 98 Celtics 89 - Game 1 Lakers 88 Celtics 98 (got the wrong sides)
Lakers 85 Celtics 91 - Game 2 Lakers 102 Celtics 108 (NBA wants 7 games from the series. I saw the memo)
Lakers 111 Celtics 92 - Game 3 Lakers Win - whoopdidoo
Lakers 107 Celtics 84 - Game 4 Lakers choke -
Lakers 89 Celtics 87 - Game 5 Lakers win - NBA needed at least 1 more

Congrats to Celtics - the Better Team. My wrong prediction!!! no suprise I am wrong.

More Lakers Spurs

So before the Lakers wrap up the Western Conference tonight, I thought I would add a few thoughts from last game. These aren't necessarily my own opinions (I'll let you know when I am stealing them) but some are recycled from sports talk shows.

1st - The last play of the game 4: While it could have been called a foul and sent Barry to the line for 2 that could have tied the game, they made it a no call. This is where many people don't like the NBA with their no calls and star treatment. However, if you look at other leagues the same thing happens, especially in the NFL. Get a reputation as a shut down corner and holding and PI are not called etc. If you were unhappy about the last call then you should also be unhappy with the previous no call. (recycled opinion here) On the play where the ball got kicked out of bounds by Horry and left the Lakers 2 sec. on the shot clock, the ball actually hit the rim and the refs didn't get it. If the shot clock had been reset the Lakers would have had to have been fouled and that would have changed the ending.

2nd - (own opinion here) While Barry had a good game what in the H**** is he doing taking the final shot for the Spurs? Was Duncan unavailable for a 2 pointer to tie the game? Was the flying Frenchman not able to shoot? Even though Ginschnozley had a bad game, don't you want him shooting? Where was big shot Rob? So there are 4 options not including Bowen who actually hit 3's in the game and could have taken the last shot. Sooo, like the Spurs coaching staff, the fans need to take that and just realize you are slower, older, and just not as good as the team you are playing. I will give you this, the Spurs should be playing the Lakers in the Finals, not just the Western Finals as the East is Terrible.

GOOOO Lakers!!! (especially since the Dodgers are driving us crazy in Dodger town)

Good follow up --

So in a follow up to last post about umpiring (or any type of officiating) I am already hearing complaints about the fouls or lack of fouls called during the Laker/ Spur game last night. If the Spurs fans are complaining about this explain how the referees made it possible for the Spurs to not be able to hit a basket. It's probably the same reasoning I was speaking up against at the TV with the refs missing calls against the Spurs and especially 2 Spurs - Duncan and Bowen (with the reputation as a great defender which means he can cheat and the refs don't call it). However I remembered my blog and my thoughts and knew the Lakers weren't down 20 because of the refs.

Spurs fans feel so slammed by people because they don't talk about the great team they have and all the championships they have won. I will give them that as truth. But, the refs didn't lose the game for you last night it was lack of shooting/converting the shots. Ask Manu G. what was worse, the 7 hour tarmac nap or the refs? I suppose that the NBA made sure their plane couldn't get parts as well to make sure they had the worst trip to LA possible.

Now, I love conspiracies and I am all too aware that the best finals match up is going to be LA Boston so I will pay attention to see if there is something going on but as for last night, chalk it up to the plane ride and not the refs!

2 takes on umpires

So I umpired last night and then I felt I should update my whatever this is so I thought I would present my two viewpoints on it: 1. as an umpire and 2. as fan or coach.

1. As an umpire (at least in little league) I try to have a liberal strike zone because no one benefits from an 80 walk game. However, it is hard to stay consistent so I find myself tightening the zone a bit from what I initially thought I would have. I have to keep some things in mind and just be the umpire because I want to do the following:
Coach - tell the catcher he is too far back (this not only causes more pass balls but makes it harder for me to call accurate balls and strikes), tell the batter to move off the plate or closer to the plate as I see issues there. Then, I want to call strikes no matter where the ball is when there is a batter that ducks on pitches an inch inside or backs out on every pitch (I have these same kids on my team as well) to teach them to stay in and try and hit. However I resist these temptations and relish when it actually is a strike.
Be a Jerk - Not to the kid and this is what saves me but, when a coach is doing the passive aggressive arguing I want to call everything against him.
Also, the league we umpire which is farm, umpires our games so I have seen coaches that umpired our game and did horrible and I want to return the favor. But, again, I don't. Like last night, one of the assistant coaches was an umpire for one of our games and some of the aggregious things he did were to stand 5 feet behind the catcher as he called balls and strikes - he said I don't have a cup on so I want to stay safe. Unbelievable! The second would be to make calls before the play or pitch was over. Calling strikes before they crossed the plate etc. Oh, and, on a ground ball on the foul line he called it foul as the ball was still rolling and not picked up. It was close to the line and the field had a wierd baseline that was lower than the grass surrounding it so it could have gone back fair. It didn't but came within an inch of being on the line.
1A. Now umpiring is not easy and in baseball there are so many rules and in little league they add more so knowing everything is impossible. I have a respect for umpires that you can tell give an honest hard effort. I just don't like the guy with the "Hey I'm just a volunteer" attitude. We are all volunteers buddy. Still do the most you can.

2. Coach - As long as they are consistent I am fine. If I hardly remember the umpire: Great Job! But, I have on occasion not really liked an ump as I felt the kids were shorted opportunities to learn and progress because of the effort put in.
3. Fan - I am way harder on officials as a fan. If an umpire will consult with his comrades or even admit to a blown call that's way better than the guy with the I am the official and my word is law.

So, in summary - If I never had to umpire again, I would be fine with that. I know and try to remind myself and players that the official doesn't make or break a game (with a few exceptions Tim Donague (sp)). Even with bad calls I can usually pick out a ton of errors the team made the if not made would have added to our score or taken from their score. If you ever wondered what I think now you know. But you didn't and you still know.

See what happens!

So I finally check blogs and wow, everyone still exists. I have to comment on Garrett's and can't just put this in the comments field. 1st - Get your own blog and make it all manly with pictures of meat, guns, and sweaty athletes...."I am a man I'm 40!!" quotes would work -- reference to the Oklahoma State Coach...anyone? Bueller?

2. Predictions--
Garrett's Zack's

NL West
1) Los Angeles Dodgers SAME
2) Arizona Diamondbacks (wildcard)
3) Colorado Rockies
4) San Diego Padres
5) San Fransisco [little] Giants

NL Central
1) Chicago Cubs 1)Brewers
2) Milwaukee Brewers 2)Cards
3) St Louis Cardinals 3)Reds
4) Cincinnati Reds 4)Cubs
5) Pittsburgh 5)Pirates

Comments:
Brewers have Sheets and a decent cast behind him. The central is still weak and they will rise to the top of it. I think the Cards are nice, not because of drunky the skipper, with the Rick Ankiel Story. The Reds have some good young pitchers and I think would be a division winner but they are young and will probabl fizzle toward the end. Cubs suck! Every year is the year. Already Soriano is hurt and more will follow and they will decend like a rock in water. They should thank their lucky stars the Pirates aren't good. Although, I like a lot of the players on the Pirate roster.

NL East
1) Atlanta Braves Same but won't be suprised if the Phillies win
2) Philadelphia Phillies either. Oh Marlins will be #3 Mets #4 Nats #5.
3) New York Mets
4) Washington Nationals
5) Florida Marlins

Comments: Mets (see cubs!). Marlins are going to continue to shock folks but just won't have enough. other than that, the east is the Braves to lose to the Phillies.

Not so different from Garrett's but liked his idea and stole it!!
Shelly (sister) tagged, even though I didn't feel anything, me with this book tag. The instructions are below and my book to follow.

1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages).
2. Turn to page 123.
3. Find the 5th sentence
4. Post the 5th sentence on your blog.
5. Tag 5 people.

The book I picked up was The Age of Speed by Vince Poscente (Learning to thrive in a MORE-FASTER-NOW WORLD. Book I got from work

"So Lafley de-emphasized the traditional role of R&D within the organization and set a goal of acquiring 50% of new product ideas from outside the company."

I am not TAGGING anyone, just thought it would be fun.

Long time

Wow so it's been a month again. Here I was thinking that I would be able to write summaries of all the games - HA! - I am having a hard enough time even looking at the blog let alone writing in it. So, Ty is doing well, the team is getting better and we are having fun. Need a bit more info, see the website or ask.

More Nerdery
Ty and I went to the Dodger game on Wednesday April 15 (YES, we got a dodger fleece blanket!) and I rediscovered an activity I had put tothe past. A long time ago I remember getting a program at the Dodger game and I would look at the articles etc. but, once game time rolled around it was right to the middle! What's in the middle you ask? (you didn't but this was added to entice drama...is it working??) No, not a centerfold of Russell Martin or Joe Torre but, and I warn you of the nerdiness of this, the scorecard!

That's right, I wanted to show Ty how to keep score. I did and he kept the Dodger's and I did the Pirates. It was a blast! Knowing that in 20 years I can tell everyone exactly what happened at any point in the game: Priceless! So since I like to do this, at least this once, why did I ever get away from it? One answer is little children. They won't let you hold paper and "draw" on it without getting a chance themselves. Or, maybe I just felt like it was a chore. Anyway, I have rediscovered it and when I go to games I think I will keep score. I have my own scorebook so I don't even have to shell out $5.00 for the program. I also own a pencil/pen so I am set for the geek / nerd / dork to explode out at baseball games.

GO DODGERS!

Games 2&3

I realize that if I had 1 dream job it would be coaching. However, that dream is just that, as I have a goal of a strong, close, and loving family. Coaching would take me away too much, in my opinion, to accomplish this goal. So, I take solace in the coaching I get to do with Ty and, if possible; will continue with it and if the girls are in sports and they need a coach and I can, I will. (what a garbled wierd sentence I don't want to fix) I take an immense satisfaction seeing these boys succeed at different levels. A boy that struggles hitting getting his first hit is a joy. A boy that is good having a great game is rewarding. Seeing boys I had last year doing better this year is great. So I will take this until they come up with a season of something that takes place between 7am and 6pm M-F. :-)

Game 2: 9 - 1
Not a lot of hitting but we took advantage of our walks and our aggressive base running to win. We have good pitching that throws strikes and fielders that are doing a good job. Still, much improvement is needed

Ty was 0-2 with a walk and 2k's and scored a run. He is an excellent catcher and threw 2 runners out at 3rd.

Game 3: 11-6
Much better hitting and some boys that haven't hit this year, so far, got some hits. Our pitching was excellent. The other team had 1 hitter that hit the ball over the left fielder's head 2 times collecting 5 RBI in the process. Other than that, great job!

Ty was 1-2 with a walk and 2 runs scored. He caught all 5 innings (there is scheduled 6 but time limit gets us before that) and has caught 13 of the 15 innings we have played. Saturday (March 15) I will have him play other positions and give our 2 other catchers some work.

Blue Jays Game 1

Game 1 is in the books (more of a pre-season game) and it's fun to see the team play. The quality from Farm to Minor is a big jump. We go from teaching the most basic of fundamentals to improving those and teaching others. The final score was Blue Jays 7 and Diamond Backs 7. Ty caught 4 innings and pitched 1. His 2 at bat he hit a long line drive to right center that would have been an easy double but the coach at 1st bast held the runner there until it was too late. Ty was so excited and running hard he almost ended up at 2nd base with the other runner. He had to turn around and go back to 1st. Ty ended the day 1-2 with a single, RBI, walk, 2 runs scored and on base 3 times. He did a good job at catcher and pitched a good 5th inning. We are excited to have the season begin. The picture above is the hit (with a brand new Miken Burn bat) to right center. Below is the uniform and father son number combo's.

My Favorite Radio Host again!

So below is another great entry from Steve Czaban - www.czabe.com - from Fox Sports Radio. I BELIEVE :-).

I believe Roger Clemens.
I know, call me a fool. But there’s just something so nice, so honest about the guy that’s got me hooked.
Sure, there’s “evidence” that points the other way. There are red flags, sirens, flashing lights and loudspeakers all saying something isn’t quite right about Clemens' incredible “story.”
I don’t care.
I’m with the Rocket. Here’s why.
I believe everybody ELSE is lying.
I believe Andy Pettitte is honest, but quite forgetful.
I believe “misremembers” is actually a word.
I believe Brian McNamee is a snake.
I believe Jose Canseco’s word is as good as gold.
I believe it’s impossible to play golf AND go to a pool party in one day.
I believe Clemens post-40 statistics were nothing but a “hot streak.”
I believe it’s normal to have your wife take HGH from your trainer.
I believe Roger’s mom was a big proponent of injectable B-12.
I believe “for all he’s done for the game of baseball” this can’t be true.
I believe those dirty syringes and gauze belong to somebody else.
I believe a secretly taped phone call is the first clue somebody is honest.
I believe Roger’s nanny misremembers too. In Spanish.
I believe those “guys” on that “commercial” about HGH, really didn't have their lives improve that much. After all, they still "had to hit a curve ball" and we all know HGH can't do that.
I believe any photos of him at that party are doctored.
I believe that just because a guy claims he treats his body “like a temple” that its no big deal to also say he “popped Vioxx” like they were “skittles.” What? You’ve never seen a big bowl of Skittles in church next to the votive candles?
I believe Mike Wallace probed Clemens as hard as anybody could on 60 Minutes, and the fact that he also is a guest in the Steinbrenner luxury box has nothing to do with nothing. Move along.
I believe that just because so many guys on the Yankees were juicing – Mike Stanton, Jason Giambi, Gary Sheffield, Canseco, Chuck Knoblauch, Andy Pettitte – was merely coincidence.
I believe that “a third ear growing out of a forehead” is indeed a telltale sign of steroid use as Clemens claims. Clearly, he only has two ears, and none on his forehead. See?
Come on people, stop being so cynical. It just takes a teensy bit of imagination and faith to believe Roger.
And yeah, the Tooth Fairy and Santa are real. I swear. Their stories check out also.

almost 3 weeks

It seemed like I just posted yesterday and then I looked and it was almost 3 weeks ago. I can tell that I am missed by all the comments and emails and phone calls from all my loyal readers so in response to all none of you, I am posting again!

There isn't a lot to go on other than the fact that baseball is a week and a half away. I am hoping to get schedules and uniforms tonight. I did find out that we are going to be playing little league teams from different parts of the valley since our league only has 3 teams. Although the travel will be hectic it will be fun to see more than 2 teams.

I used to love to go to this website as it has the dumbest but most hilarious cartoons and characters. I am expecting Shelly, Craig (if he ever looks) Garrett and maybe McKay, Kate, and maybe Melinda to enjoy the most. Like I said, it isn't everyone's cup of water but, I like it and re-discovered it recently. The site is http://www.homestarrunner.com/ Oh, and try to start at the beginning so you can get to know the characters etc.

Team Decided

I know that polls showed the Indians were the favorite but, like a smart politician I have ignored the polls and have decided to do the right thing. We are the BLUE JAYS. The picture below will be a similar uniform ensemble that we will have. Black hat, grey shirt, grey pants, black socks. If only we could find a Roy Halladay.

Political Identity

So, I feel bad posting something that will be sarcastic, or depressing, or just plain lame after a feel good spiritual post but, I guess not too bad and I just need to get it off my fingers (normally chest but the words are in my fingers this time).

I think I may end up having a political identity crisis. If the media and mainstream non-logical thinkers get their way, John McCain will be the "Republican" Nominee in the Presidential Election. How sad this will be to have a psycho liberal and a moderate liberal running against each other. I'll leave it to you to assign those titles. If this happens, and I hope that real conservatives everywhere will make a stand so it won't, I will not know what to do. Will I then become the "disenfranchised" voter that I hear so much about? Will an independent conservative join the race after the primaries that will be better? Will I end up having to choose between someone that wants amnesty and someone that wants amnesty? Will the choice be between someone that will raise taxes or someone that will raise taxes? Will the mean Ogre win (applies to 2) or will the left wing real good energetic guy win? Too many questions and no answers that will be good. We need Huckleberry and Ross Perot Jr. to exit the primaries and endorse Romney. Those extra votes will come in handy. Speaking of endorsing....

Is it really a good thing when a pretend republican, kennedy by osmosis, casino dollar wanting governor endorses your campaign? I guess when the rest of America thinks it's a good idea to get as much free stuff as possible so vote for the most liberal conservatives (how is this a phrase by the way) and get that free stuff. I guess it will be impressive for republicans if McCain is endorsed by Ted Kennedy. Either way, Democrats win.

I guess the only difference between McCain and the Dems is military. So that would be a huge swing his direction. So, we would have a strong military and then all the other liberal things we don't want.

Make any sense? Probably not. Oh, I referenced Ross Perot. Do you know who he is planning on voting for? Mitt Romney. So, I don't know if that is a good endorsement or not but, as a business man I thank him for his candor.

Sorry....had to say something.

President Hinkley

Though this is an odd place to put this, considering the below posts are quite ridiculous in the scheme of life, I still want to. The above links are tributes to President Hinkley, from the President to other political figures. I thought a lot about this and have come to the conclusion I cannot pay a good enough tribute to President Hinkley's life unless I do the only thing I know: which is to bear testimony.

I know President Hinkley was called as prophet and apostle when he was so that he would be President of the Church during this time. I know that the process of selecting prophets and apostles is done by the Savior through his servants here. I know that the flawless system works and that the keys to the church are currently held by the apostles, as a whole, until the new President is ordained. The comfort that comes from this is real and, like the previously mentioned testimony, is made evident by the spirit. While President Hinkley will be missed by many I know that the church is still led by the Savior and his servants will do what they need to do to make sure the gospel is spread to all! I am grateful for this.

Mishmash

So some may say that since my Steelers were embarassed by the Pats and then whimpered out of the playoffs I have nothing to say, well, you would be right. But here I am anyway like ESPN: nothing to say but saying things anyway,.ie Skip Bayless.

Fandom - Ty and I are moving up a level in Little League baseball. The unfortunate circumstance of this is that one of the coaches already at this level is the Dodgers. This bums us out a bit as it was a great excuse to say we were Dodgers and an excuse for me to get more Dodger apparel. So now I am becoming what is all too common in today's world: logo/uniform fan!
As we talk about different teams to be instead of the Dodgers I have a hard time because I really don't like any other team except the Pirates and Ty says no way! So through research of logos and uniforms and colors etc. we narrowed our list down to the following teams (in no particular order - Rockies, Indians, Blue Jays, and A's. Basically we are leaning heavily to the Blue Jays as they have a great color scheme and pretty cool logo. <------- did I just say these words? So before you pull my Dodger membership card remember, only 1 team in the league can be the Dodgers. AND NO being the Padres would not be cool. If I can figure out how to put a poll up I will put it up to get your opinion on who our little league team should be. If you want to check out our leagues website go to http://eteamz.active.com/palmdalelittleleague/ .

Super Bowl
Each year the Super Bowl becomes less and less important and more and more a reality show. The "media" is all a flutter over a photo of a guy that doesn't want to be known as a good guy and will tell you or you will see all the bad stuff he does. Don't know who I am talking about? Oh, only the guy they are calling the best qb ever - Tom Brady. If the Giants weren't in the Superbowl I may actually care about who wins. But, who wants to root for the mentally slow Manning brother that is now arrived? Oh I am mixing things here. So back to the Super Bowl (side note, am I going to get a bill from the NFL for using Super Bowl and not the big game or something like it?) I don't care and it will be the easiest time to keep the sabbath day. I WILL NOT WATCH!
Giants---- So now Tom Coughlin is a great coach and everyone loves him. Hmmm...for the past few years players hate him the media thinks his methods are archaic and now he is wonderful? So now Eli Manning has arrived? Believe me now and hear me later, Eli will not arrive ever!! This season, er, last 4 games, is an abboration. He will be pouting and throwing incompletions and picks all over the place as soon as Feb. 3.
